Aima...Princess of Holy Hip Hop

Aima's passion for music and introducing the gospel to the masses is evident in her songs. Her sound is a breath of fresh air to the gospel hip hop scene and her lyrics are truly authentic. She challenges herself daily to be more than just an ordinary singer /songwriter. In one of her blog entries she makes a solemn vow to those who will be listening to her music: "I promise you all right now, that within the best of my God-given ability, I will not write nor compose anything not worth 10 seconds of your listening life. So help me God."
I had the honor to meet and be interviewed by Aima on her show (The Green Room) and was blown away by her lyrics and contagious personality. I believe that she is going places and would like to introduce you to my new VIP : Aima...the princess of Holy Hip Hop.
The first time you listen to Aima's music & spoken word, you get the feeling she's someone you already know and love, because in addition to the 'bounce wit me rhythms, the sing-along-loudly hooks and soul stirring lyrics, her personality shines as her beautiful spirit captivates the listener. With a lyrical prowress and poetic-type flow that reminds of greats like Lauryn Hill, yet somehow with an artistic genius, remains authentically "her own thing".

Dr. Thomson Fontaine has become a very influencial figure in the Dominican community. His website www.thedominican.net is the number one resource for Dominicans worldwide to keep updated with the latest news, events and issues affecting the country.

The Dominican contains articles, pictures and short informational clips about Dominica and it's culture. Thomson helps to promote Dominicans by featuring their achievements on his website. He recently featured Lois Commodore and her debut CD "Hold Me". (Click here )

Dominicans abroad were particularly grateful for The Dominican in that it provided a hurricane tracking resource with live monitoring of hurricane Dean. This tool provided more details than the local American news stations which barely mentioned about the effcts of the hurricane on Dominica.

Thomson is dedicated to helping build a stronger more financially stable Dominica. He has devoted his efforts towards motivating Dominicans abroad to invest in building Dominica by lending their financial support where possible. The Dominican has become a household name in Dominica and in the homes of Dominicans abroad and with time will become a Dominican icon.

Derrick Riviere is pleased to welcome all the early morning risers to his Saturday Morning Praise Radio Show on 1390 AM in Rocky Mount, NC. Derrick Riviere is a native Dominican and has recently been blessed to host a gospel radio show in North Carolina.
